LeeFredrick Bowen, MA

Fred joined UNC Charlotte and the University Advising Center staff in April 2013.  Prior to working at UNC Charlotte, Fred worked as an Academic Advisor for the Thomas Harriott College of Arts and Sciences at East Carolina University for over 2 years and worked as an Admissions Counselor at the Undergraduate Office of Admissions at ECU for over 4 years. 

Fred earned his B.A. in English is 2003 and then earned his M.A in English in 2010 from ECU.  Fred enjoys movies, theatre, and writing.  He focuses his writing in multiple areas of creative writing. Fred enjoys spending time with friends, family, and traveling to different parts of the world.  He is also a major Star Trek fan.  Fred’s goal is to continue to effectively impact student success by assisting them in their educational and career goals.
