What is the FIT Program?

Picture this: an immersive experience that introduces new UNC Charlotte students to the campus community, familiarizes them with Charlotte’s support services, and encourages collaborative study with peers. 

Through our specialized cohort model, we’ve crafted distinct pathways to ensure student’s smooth transition into UNC Charlotte. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all program—each cohort is tailor-made.

Program Highlights:

• Students who participate in FIT get started one week before the fall semester kicks off and immerse themselves in enriching 1-3 credit hour courses. 
• In-Person Kickoff: Dive into dynamic, in-person classes the week before classes begin, setting the tone for your academic journey.
• Virtual Sessions (If applicable): Students seamlessly transition to virtual sessions in the subsequent weeks, tailored to each cohort’s unique needs.

Each FIT cohort is crafted to be unique, adapting to the needs and preferences of each student, ensuring a personalized journey at UNC Charlotte.
